Disgraced Chaoqui Attacks Cardinal Pell

Edit: we've felt that Cardinal George Pell was out of place in the C9 and due to be chased out of Rome. It's astonishing that one who is in as much trouble as the scandalous Chaoqui should feel emboldened to attack the Cardinal.

Rome: A controversial figure at the centre of Rome's "Vatileaks 2.0" scandal claims Cardinal George Pell influenced and hurried the work of a Vatican reform commission to secure himself a job in the Holy See, far from the royal commission dogging the church in Australia.
However the cardinal has denied that he sought the job in order to insulate himself from fallout of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.

Pope Francis Blames Benedict for Corruption Passes Buck on Chaoqui

Edit: there are suggestions that Francesca Chaoqui is a member of the Italian Secret Police, but it's impossible to believe that Pope Francis didn't know more about her when she was brought on board, than he suggests in his interview.  She was a high profile appointment obviously conceived to present a more open, inclusive Vatican.  It's difficult to discern what he's saying, but it also looks like he's accusing Pope Benedict of the corruption he's pretending to fight with the C9, made up mostly of some of the most liberal and princely Cardinals of the Church.  It's hard to call most of them Catholic.

(Paris) The Vatileaks 2 scandal is substantiated in a lawsuit by the Vatican court. Therin, none of the   details are spared that  make for all the ingredients of the perfect Sex, Crime and VaticanStory. That the bustling Francesca Chaouqui should betray her Vatican mentor, Msgr. Lucio Angel Vallejo Balda, since the police of the Vatican  showed up, makes them even more interesting to the media and even more embarrassing for the Vatican. Her appointment shall be directly attributed to Pope Francis on the recommendation of Msgr Vallejo Balda

When questioned by journalists,  Pope Francis  gave reply on the return journey from Africa regarding Vatileaks 2. His full answers:
Question: There is much talk about Vatileaks. Without going into details about the process, which takes place just: How important is the free and secular press in uncovering the corruption?
Pope Francis: The Free Press, the secular and ecclesiastical, but professional in any case: The professionalism of the press may be secular or religious. It is important that it has professionals and that the messages are not tampered with. For me it is important because the accusation of injustice and corruption is a good work. The professional press have to say anything, but without falling into the three most common sins: disinformation, which is to tell only half the story, and the rest not; defamation, if the non-professional public spotted the people; and the defamation that has things to say, which takes the reputation of a person. These are the three flaws that threaten the professionalism of the press. We need professionalism. And when it comes to corruption, it's good things to say: "Corruption exists here, here and here." And if a truly professional journalist was wrong, he apologizes.
Question: We could get into the COSEA appointing Monsignor Lucio Angel Vallejo Balda and Francesca Chaouqui.?Think of having made a mistake?
Pope Francis: I think that was a mistake. Vallejo joined because of the role he had and did have up until now: he was secretary of the Prefecture for the Economic Affairs of the Holy See. How did she get in: I am not sure, but I think I am right in saying that it was he who said she was someone who was well acquainted with the world of business relations. They worked and when the work was complete, COSEA’s members kept some positions in the Vatican. Mrs. Chaouqui did not stay in the Vatican: some say she was angry about this. The judges will tell us what her real intentions were, how they did it. It did not come as a surprise to me, I didn’t lose any sleep over it because they showed everyone the work begun with the commission of nine cardinals, to root out corruption and the things that are wrong. There’s one thing I want to say, not about Vallejo and Chaouqui. Thirteen days before John Paul II’s death, during the via Crucis, the then Cardinal Ratzinger, talked about the filth in the Church. He denounced the first one. Then John Paul II died and Ratzinger, who was a dean on the "pro eligendo Pontefice” Mass, talked about the same thing. We elected him because of his openness about things. It is since that time that there has been corruption in the air in the Vatican. Regarding the trial: I have not read the charges in full. I would have liked the whole thing to have been over and done with before the Jubilee but I don’t think that’s possible because I want all the defence lawyers to have time to do their job and the freedom of defence.”
Question: How will you proceed, to prevent the recurrence of these things?
Pope Francis: I thank God that there is no longer Lucrezia Borgia! [laughs] But I do not know, with the Cardinals, to do away with the Commission. Not true? Thank you.

Breaking: Vatileaks II, Francis' Courtiers Arrested for Stealing Information

Edit: here's the story in an excerpted googletranslation from La Stampa, and the Tornielli, Bergoglian Vaticanista.

The woman after being held overnight in the Vatican was put released to freedom today because she cooperated. The Secretary of the Prefecture for Economic Affairs continues to be employed in the Oltrevere [a nickname for the Vatican]. Both are accused of having disclosed confidential documents of the Committee COSEA that are the basis of two new books on Vatican finances

ANDREA TORNIELLI VATICAN CITY

The Spanish Monsignor Lucio Angel Vallejo Balda , 54, Secretary of the Prefecture for the Economic Affairs of the Holy See, and the Italian Francesca Immaculate Chaouqui, 33, are in custody in the Vatican. Arrests have been confirmed but the woman today has been released into freedom because she has assisted in the investigation. The investigation by the Gendarmerie and the judiciary at Oltretevere would have identified as the alleged "crows" behind the new flight of documents that are the basis of two new books that have not yet been published: "Avarice" by Espresso columnist Emiliano Fittipaldi, and "Via Crucis" by Mediaset journalist Gianluigi Nuzzi.

Both Vallejo Balda and Chaouqui were part - the first as secretary and the second as a member - of the study committee and advised the economic-administrative organization of the Holy See (COSEA), established in July 2013 to screen papers and accounts of all the ministries, and to suggest reforms to rationalize expenditure and better management overall.

It was just Vallejo, number two of the Prefecture who will disappear with the reform of the Curia, to propose Chaouqui to be introduced to the commission. Interestingly, in the weeks before the papal appointment, she had often been unable to avoid controversy: recall the tweet in which she spoke of a nonexistent "leukemia" suffered by Pope Benedict , and other messages still more controversial against the then Secretary of State Tarcisio Bertone and the former Minister Tremonti. Chaouqui defended herself by saying she was the victim of false charges because of envy aroused by her new role and had denounced the intrusion of strangers in her twitter account.

Edit: They even organized a reception on the terrace of the Praefecture for Economic Affairs, where the Blessed Sacrament was served in plastic cups.

They were particularly venomous when Sandro Magister lost his press credenntials.

Pleading For Sandro Magister and Against the Poison of the New Courtiers of the Pope

Sandro Magister
(Rome) The expulsion of Sandro Magister after 41 years as an accredited journalist of the Holy See has  led to diverse reactions, between unbridled glee and states of shock. The withdrawal of accreditation "is the worst thing for a Vaticanist" gleefully wrote wrote Magister's  opponent Francesca Chaouqui who is one of the "new courtiers" of this pontificate. The statement hits the point and explains the state of shock of those who afford themselves an independent view outside the jubilee choir for the Argentine pontiff. It's an attitude that is increasingly becoming a dangerous luxury when even when one as veterate and renowned as Sandro Magister Vaticanist must be put to the sword without mercy. While the courtiers have erupted in loud jubilation over the slaying of their "enemy", the voices among Vaticanists  can be counted on one hand, who dare to take sides for their previously highly respected colleagues, to move some things into perspective.
One who has done so publicly is Riccardo Cascioli, the chief editor of the Catholic  Internet newspaper La Nuova Bussola Quotidiana (NBQ). Here is plea for Sandro Magister and against the "new courtiers" in the Catholic Church.

No mercy for Magister

by Riccardo Cascioli
The premature announcement of documents is never a pleasant thing, but it is difficult to understand why the pre-publication of the Pope's encyclical Laudato si  two full days has brought the Holy See to the brink of a nervous breakdown and some Vaticanists laughably losing even their sense, are claiming the incident as a conspiracy to damage from Pope Francis.
What kind of a conspiracy could depend on the contents of the encyclical being unveiled two days early? On the contrary, the initiative of the Espresso appears to have heightened the attention of the official press conference to present the Encyclical  on 18 June at 11 O'clock. And it was only in order to determine any differences between the already known version and the final version.

The Public Pillory and Toxic Malice for Magister

Yet the advance publication has been treated like a conspiracy, so that the Vatican press office even took the drastic measure and indefinitely suspended the accreditation of longtime Vaticanist Sandro Magister, who is believed to be the culprit of the incident. Not only that: The letter by which Magister's sanction was announced  was publicly posted in the press service of the Vatican and published with great luridness on the semi-official news blog Il sismografo. That's not all: as if it were not already enough punishment to publicly pillory Magister without any process, there appeared tons of poisonous comments on the internet  by colleagues and Vatican representatives against Magister.
Magister is a very famous Vatican expert. His official website chiesa.espresso and his blog Settimo Cielo are much read and at the international level. For many Catholics, but also journalists, Magister is an important reference point in order to be informed about developments in the Catholic Church and the Vatican, which go beyond the official statements. It is obvious that he has made some enemies over time. The way he is now treated, in any case, raises a number of questions.

Nothing like that at Vatileaks - did not violate any embargo period

Eugenio Scalfari took the place of the Pope and formulated its own answers  of the same - impunity
Mainly because there were no comparable penalties in connection with the Vatileaks scandal, as numerous personal and confidential documents from the desk of Benedict XVI. were stolen and published and caused a scandal. By comparison, the preliminary publication of a public encyclical is ridiculous. In addition, Magister can at best be only indirectly responsible for the publication, then the copy of the encyclical-draft - as has been said from the very beginning - was landed on the table of the Espresso  -Chief Editors who decided the publishing and asked Magister to write a short introduction.
Ultimately, you can not even speak of a violation of the embargo period, as the American Vatican expert John Allen remarked. An embargo period is there when a document shall be made in available in advance to  journalists to give them time to read it and to prepare for the publication. In practice, this means: I give you a document in advance  and you commit yourself to not speaking about it before a specified time. In this specific case, the Holy See, however, had decided, which is unusual and not very pleasant, to present the Encyclical only a few hours before the press conference. No journalist had thus officially received it and was therefore bound to a fixed vesting period. A moral obligation of the Espresso chief editor would only be given if the invisible hand that has leaked him the text  would require experts to comply with the embargo period on June 18., but that seems highly unlikely.
Nevertheless, the wrath of the Vatican erupted over Magister: no extenuating circumstances, no mercy, only public disgrace and expulsion from the Olympus the Vaticanists.

No Mercy for Magister - a Reward for Eugenio Scalfari

One behaved quite differently  with the old fox Eugenio Scalfari, as in the two interviews published with Pope Francis. One in October, 2013, the other in July 2014. Both caused no small stir in the Church. Then it became known that the first interview statements were put in the mouth of the Pope by  Scalfari, which he had never said. And that the second interview was supposed to never be released because Scalfari had committed, not to speak publicly about this private conversation with the Pope. The only measure against Scalfari was a public statement by the Holy See. But on the contrary. Scalfari was even rewarded for the two interviews. Both were printed a few months ago in an official book by  the Lev Vatican Publishing house.

Reckoning With one Who did not Join in the Chorus of Adulation

The gloating of the papal Commissioner Chaouqui about Magisters expulsion
One can reasonably assume, therefore, that Magister, is rather than paying for the advance publication of the encyclical, but instead for his constant informational activities with which he strives to brighten backgrounds and illuminate decisions and statements in a way that does not correspond to the chorus of adulation which surrounds and damages this pontificate. The incident with the encyclical is just a pretext to settle accounts with a leading journalist, but is considered as a reference point for the opposition. A precise signal that is being emitted by the new courtiers and to all who dare to question, and according to an old strategy: to teach one hundred strike one.
It is therefore no coincidence that those who spread the poison against Magister, are among the enthusiastic supporters of the new charity. This includes those who should of their own volition and on the basis of their institutional position, employ a certain lack of self control. There is the s PR expert hired for a Pontifical Commission, Francesca Immacolata Chaouqui who has never forgiven Magister that he publicized her  tendency to too great loquacity, wrote immediately after becoming aware of  Magisters punishment on Facebook:
The entry ends with the words: "Happy Sandro, Ex-Vatican expert". Any further comment is superfluous. Law has Chaouqui was only correct in stating that the withdrawal of accreditation is "the worst thing for a Vaticanist."

Betting that L'Espresso already published the final version

The entry gives testimony that the spurting of venom from the Vatican is far from past. This is evidenced by a further signal: Il Fatto Quotidiano has named  the Secretariat of State Security as a source of the copy that the Espresso leaked. The daily newspaper also claimed, it involves  an alleged act of sabotage by "conservatives" against Pope Francis.  Information that has been properly spread not by chance. Rather, it appears to be a notice that we will soon be informed of things quite differently.
NB: The Vatican spokesman Father Lombardi explained that it told Espresso  that it was  only a draft of the encyclical and not to publish the final version version. He made it clear that the text has undergone further changes. But we are willing to take a bet that the published text already represents the final version. On Thursday we will know it.

The Agape of the Courtiers --- Hosts in Plastic Cups on the Roofs of Rome

(Rome) The world of courtiers and their privileges, is a recent and a front row seat for the Holy Mass on the roof of the Vatican overlooking St. Peter's Basilica. The strange Agape for 18,000 euros with Holy Mass above the rooftops of Rome has been organized by the enterprising Francesca Chaouqui.  Monsignor Vallejo Balda gave out Holy Communion - in a plastic cup. These are two names in the Vatican, which have already been noticed.
On April 27, hundreds of thousands of believers from all over the world came to Rome. Many thousands had to sleep outdoors to attend and participate in the canonization of Pope John Paul II and Pope John XXIII.. The large crowd of Catholics pushed  to St. Peter's Square and the surrounding streets. Such  efforts seemed  unreasonable to others. They were offered an exclusive opportunity to attend the papal Mass and the double canonization. The enterprising Francesca Chaouqui organized an exclusive front row seat for a select audience on the roof of a building that is owned by the Vatican. There were 150 guests given a place  in the "front row" and an especially reasonable distance from the common people. For the 18,000-euro canonization party panoramic views of St. Peter's Square and Basilica which were otherwise unattainable were  offered, all kneeling and without jostling and with an exquisite standing buffet by the renowned Roman Catering Services .

18,000 Euro Box Seats for the Canonization

The distribution of consecrated Hosts from plastic cups, which happened already   last year during the World Youth Day in Rio de Janeiro. The undignified handling of the body of Christ have happened already in the Vatican, when the courtiers dance.
An illustrious group gathered on the roofs of Rome. Among the 150 guests were the well-known television presenter and author Bruno Vespa, Marco Carrai, the right hand of Italy's new left-wing Democratic Prime Minister of Matteo Renzi, Maria Latella a close associate of Renzi's and Ernst von Freyberg, President of the Vatican bank IOR . The cost of the roof party, after all, was 18,000 euros,  was undertaken by over two sponsors, a health insurance  company for employees and an oil company.
Guests were brought Holy Communion up on the roof. That was taken care of by none other than Lucio Angel Vallejo Balda, secretary of the Prefecture for the Economic Affairs of the Holy See and a member of the Pontifical Special Commission for the Reform of the Economic and Financial Affairs of the Holy See (COSEA).

The Collaboration between Mons Valleja Balda and Francesca Chaouqui

The COSEA had been established in July 2013 by Pope Francis, is directly responsible to the pope, and equipped with far-reaching powers. The appointment of the eight Commissioners was the reason for some guesswork. In the papal statement establishing the Commission it states that the members of the new Commission have access "to all documents, data and information," the Vatican Bank IOR, all balance sheets, of any authority and establishment of the Vatican and the entire movable and immovable property of the Holy See have worldwide. Each official secrecy has been lifted for the Commission.
Many were most puzzled about the appointment of Francesca Chaouqui. Chaouqui is neither an auditor nor a tax consultant, which would qualify her for the task of the Commission. Rather, she  is much more responsible for PR  for the international management consultant Ernst & Young and is therefore "in short, a lobbyist," says Vatican expert Sandro Magister (see separate reports, New Papal Commissioner and The Confessions of Francesca Chaouqui ).
The still existing Commission is composed of seven laymen and clerics. One cleric in the Commission, Msgr Vallejo Balda,  was handing out Holy Communion at the rooftop party. The Spanish priest approached Pope Francis soon after his election in the guest house of Santa Marta  and then made a quick career. From him the idea was to set up a Special Commission and he gave the Pope the selection of Commissioners, whom Francis then appointed. The collaboration between Msgr Vallejo Balda and Francesca Chaouqui certainly seems variously shown by  the roof party.

"Mixture of the Secular and the Religious Stuff"

Meanwhile, the matter was has become known and "the Pope was outraged," wrote the weekly magazine L'Espresso , when he learned of the "Roof Story." Cardinal Giuseppe Versaldi, the Prefect for the Economic Affairs of the Holy See told the TV station Italia 1 : "I can not announce what the Pope has said. He has been informed and I can only say that he is not happy, to use a euphemism. But I can assure you that such episodes will not recur. "
Cardinal Versaldi claimed to have known nothing of the rooftop party. "Like many others, I too am surprised by this blend of the secular and the religious stuff." The Cardinal is, piquant detail not included,  the direct superior of Msgr Vallejo Balda. He is quoted by L'Espresso quoted as saying: "I'm not talking about the roof. Thank God we have other problems."
Chaouqui reacted in the usual way: All information would only be disseminated in order to "discredit" in the eyes of the Pope.

Who Advises the Pope? -- The "Privy Council" of Pope Francis

(Vatican) Who advises the Pope? The question is the most talked about whenever the Pope is mentioned since last March. It has been busy because the pontificate raises many questions. The advisers of the Pope could contribute to the unraveling. The progressive Vaticanist Marco Tosatti has published his travel log on Vatican Insider his reading.

Impulsive Pope: Did Francis Interrupt Prefect Müller During Mass, Because He Immediately Wanted to Talk to Him?

The Vaticanist Tosatti was the one recently in the newspaper La Stampa who told of an episode he received that apparently left even this die-hard progressive shivering, "always assuming that it is true," he added. The subjunctive is imperative because the message went through several corners and has found no confirmation from another source. Tosatti attended a Sunday Mass at the German National Church dell'Anima Santa Maria in Rome in the second half of September.  He then learned that Pope Francis is supposed to have called at the Congregation at the end of June to speak on the spot to the Prefect Archbishop Gerhard Ludwig Müller. But he was then celebrating a Mass for German seminarians in a nearby chapel. The Pope had insisted that the Archbishop interrupt the celebration and talk to him. An official of the Congregation was rushed to the chapel and informed Müller about the dictates of the Pope. He had interrupted the celebration and went into the sacristy to take a phone call with the Pope. The major concerns of the Pope? He told me  of an investigation against a Cardinal underway at the CDF against an old friend of the Pope. The Pope ordered the Prefect of the Congregation of Doctrine and the Faith, Müller, to immediately discontinue the investigation and close the case immediately.

Should the incident have happened, then it would indeed be shocking. Tosatti released it despite his reservations.

Whoever Finds the Ear of Pope Francis?

According to Tosatti it is "certainly" Monsignor Fabian Fedacchio Leaniz who is among the "consultants" of the Pope. The prelate has been working at the Congregation for Bishops, but works unofficially, "without assignment" but "effectively" for the post of secretary of the Pope.

Regarded as friend and adviser from the first hour in the Conclave, the Brazilian Cardinal Claudio Hummes is Prefect Emeritus of the Congregation for the Clergy. Hummes quickly let it be known that he had been involved, according to his own intervention, and instrumental in the election of Pope Bergoglio. Accordingly, he went to the side of the new Pope at the central loggia on the facade of St. Peter's, as he was shown to the world for the first time.

Less obvious is the role of the former Primate of England, Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor. The Cardinal was allowed, as he was born in 1932, to participate in the conclave.  His reservations about Benedict XVI. were known. With Pope Francis, the Briton is understood to be, however, excellent. The new Pope, says Tosatti "often" gets council from him. The same also does the Apostolic Nuncio to Great Britain. Because he knows the good rapport of the Cardinal with the Pope, the Cardinal was an important contact person.

Then there's the Honduran Cardinal Oscar Maradiaga. The Salesian was appointed by Pope Francis to the C8 Cardinals Council and represents Central America. He could also be called to Rome and take over the management of a Congregation. Since 2007, the Cardinal has good German skills already as President of Caritas Internationalis. Maradiaga was, after his appointment to the newly created eight-member Cardinalsrat, the most enthusiastic and talkative, to perform a "fundamental reform" of the Roman Curia. A sign that the Honduran is among the eight cardinals (excluding the Chilean Cardinal Ossa) is closest to the thinking of the new pope. His word is to have great weight with Pope Francis, says Tosatti. This has to do not only with aspects of content, but also with the common language and common Latin American origin.

Therefore, Archbishop Emeritus of Santiago, Cardinal Francisco Javier Errazuriz Ossa also fits in this category. The Cardinal from the neighboring country of Argentina was an elector in the March conclave. On the 5th of September he completed his 80th Year and retired from the circle of papal electors. But not from the circle of papal consultants.

A conspicuous number of non-friends of Benedict XVI.

The "Privy Council" of the Pope, as Tosatti has called the circle of men who have direct access to the Pope and whose word counts for him is also the Italian Giuseppe Cardinal Bertello, the President of the Governorate of Vatican City. Cardinal Bertello until 2007 was nuncio to Italy and San Marino. Actually, he had then hoped to be Prefect of the Congregation for Bishops, but Benedict XVI. preferred the French-Canadian Cardinal Marc Ouellet. Also, when you post "Red Pope", the head of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples did not come to Bertello in train, but Cardinal Fernando Filoni. For Bertello remained under Benedict XVI. next to the dignity of Cardinal "only" in a ranking administrative task. Now he belongs to the group of advisers of Pope Francis.

This circle is "udite, udite" [Hush, hush] as Tosatti notes, also there is the Curial Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, who was sent packing with a loud noise as Apostolic Nuncio to the United States to Washington DC.. Viganò was not then a noted "friend" of Benedict XVI.. Another outspoken opponent of Pope Benedict has an ear: the former papal master of ceremonies, Curial Archbishop Piero Marini, whom Pope Benedict XVI. dismissed in 2007 from his function. Despite elevation to archbishop and one post of his choice, Piero Marini opted for the post of President of the International Eucharistic Congresses. Marini has never forgiven him the dismissal as master of ceremonies. And he also made no secret, as when Francis was elected as Pope, Piero Marini rejoiced to be finally rid of Benedict XVI..

Do the Heads of the Liturgy Consultants Have the Handwriting of Piero Marini?

The liturgical sensibility and the desire of Benedict XVI. to reclaim the sacredness of worship, gave Piero Marini no pleasure. Something he has in common with Pope Francis. The liturgy was previously not an issue for the new Pope. At least not in his speeches. The situation is different in the decisions in the field of Liturgy, as recently, another Vatican expert, Sandro Magister pointed out. Piero Marini's handwriting wants many changes with the complete replacement of all consultants for the Office of Liturgical Celebrations of the Papal See. The liturgical renewal staff of Benedict XVI. was beheaded without exception.

To Pope Francis' circle of advisors, according to Tosatti, belong the Spaniard Juan Ignacio Arrieta Ochoa de Chinchetru. The Opus Dei Bishop, a professor at the Opus Dei University of the Holy Cross in Rome and Canon Lawyer, was appointed by the new Pope to the be the coordinator of the commission of inquiry into the Vatican bank IOR.

Enterprising Francesca Chaoqui in the circle of Papal Consultants? - Multiple Meetings with Pope

Astonishment is likely about who has already been allowed to sit "several times" at the table of the Pope in the Domus Santa Marta, one of whom "recently" means the enterprising Francesca Immacolata Chaoqui (see report Francesca Chaouqui: always on the go, lobbyist, Nuzzi-admirer, new Papal Commissioner ). Each time she was in the company of other people who wanted to be presented to the Pope. A privilege, which Pope Francis clearly guards, since at the Vatican his employees do not have access to the Pope, as only recently the weekly magazine Focus reported. A "distant" attitude toward his subordinates is summarized in one of the recent sensational interviews in an unflattering manner with "leprosy".

The appointment of lobbyist Francesca Chaouqui as the member of the new Commission for Financial and Economic Affairs of the Holy made for astonished head shaking (Chaouqui to see their own reports below). Sandro Magister wrote in vain against the appointment Chaouquis equally pointing to the problem, as against the equally controversial appointment of Monsignor Battista Ricca, director of Santa Marta, the special representative of the Pope in the Vatican Bank.

Those who believed that Pope Francis could withdraw a decision made, learned their lesson. This includes the fact that the new Pope, despite public doubts about the suitability of Chaouquis for her office with far-reaching emergency powers, met with the Italo-Moroccan "many times sociably",  says Tosatti.

And Then the Phone: "Some Journalists"

Finally, the Vatican expert mentions the phone that the Pope uses with "extreme impartiality". The "secret", who the Pope likes for advice, is greater here. "However, it seems that some journalists are among them, old friends of the former Cardinal," said Tosatti. The Vaticanist does not call him, but one of the "old friends” should,  the Argentine writer Jorge Milias (see report Jorge Milias 'regrets' that private telephone conversations with Francis Pope have been published ).

The Confessions of Francesca Chaoqui

(Rome) Francesca Chaouqui who was recently assigned by Pope Francis to the new Papal Commission for the Reorganization of the Vatican Administration, with far-reaching emergency powers is the appointed PR expert, explains everything that is desired to be made in a public statement. Through her new role as Pontifical Commissioner, she is subject to strict confidentiality. After all, she has access to the secret documents of the Vatican, at least everything that is of value according to worldly standards.

Then it so happens, says the Vatican expert Sandro Magister, that Francesca Immacolata Chaouqui has offered two comprehensive confessions: The first was in the weekly magazine L'Espresso , which is the Italian Spiegel [Time?], it was published on the 17th of September. The second was in the weekly magazine Panorama, which is the Italian Focus [Newsweek?], appeared on the 19th of September.

"The irrepressible loquacity of Chaouqui has by her concerns, fended off criticisms, which were directed against her and against those who appointed her, has experienced an additional incentive" said Master.

The preppy PR lobbyist defends herself by pointing out her Facebook - and Twitter page had been stolen and compromised by hackers. "If, however, the art of communicating is her specialty and she was therefore supposedly selected by the Vatican, then it speaks to the obvious inability to keep order on their own websites, not just for them," said Magister further.

To the question of who came to the Vatican on the idea of recruiting her and to be presented to an unsuspecting Pope Francis on the appointment, was confirmed now Chaouqui herself, just what Sandro Magister had already written.

"One day, Monsignor Lucio Vallejo Balda, secretary of the Prefecture for the Economic Affairs of the Holy See and member of Opus Dei called. I knew him, he is the best economist that the Church has ever had in all the earth, 'You could be a candidate for the Committee on the Economic Directory of the Holy See. Send me your resume.' So it happens. And I am appointed. Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, the Secretary of State, learns of the Commission and its members only in a Chirograph (A Church document circulated for the benefit of the Curia alone), the act, with which Pope Francis appointed us, will be officially announced."

Chaouqui also affirmed, that she does not belong to Opus Dei, but "is spiritually very near" the Work. She places great emphasis on being friends with the Cardinals Tauran, Farina and Bertello. The latter she refers to as "to have reformed the Curia in one glorious act."

"Among her famous titles, Chaouqui avoids, it also worth noting the distinction that she was awarded in August by the American Association Go Topless: "“Go-Topless congratulates Francesca Chaouqui, the only female aide appointed by the Vatican for freely showing her nude torso. Time to put an end to millennia of repressive ‘moral’ values imposed by the Catholic church. Constitutional equal topless rights means true separation of church and state! Go-Topless Day, August 25th, 2013″." The organization Go Topless has established since 2007 a Go Topless Day for "women's equality" and describe it as a "human right" that women may publicly topless as men. On the Go Topless Day then, their followers show what they have underneath. The award ceremony is obviously a provocation. They possibly made the photo shoot, which Chaouqui allowed them to do in a photo studio.
