Voice of America: "Meeting of Pope Francis and Patriarch Kyril Part of the Message of Fatima"

(Rome) The Spanish-language newscast "El Mundo al Dia" Voice of America (VOA) reported on Wednesday yesterday on the of 5 PM (Washington time) broadcast of the general audience of Pope Francis in the late morning. "El Mundo al Dia" reported at time stamp 20'28'' of a prayer request by the Pope for good progress in the first meeting in Cuba with the Moscow Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church. Voice of America is the official state foreign broadcast of the US government. It broadcasts daily world news in English and 43 other languages from radio and television stations.
On the the Pope's greeting  to the German pilgrims Voice of America reported:
"A few hours before the start of his historic pilgrimage to Mexico, Pope Francis made reference to a meeting  which after 1,000 years is almost unknown today. With a gesture of reconciliation, the Catholic Church will meet  with the Russian Orthodox Church, separated because of the Eastern schism since 1054 [Actually, Moscow didn't break with Rome till much later as a result of the Fourth Crusade and the sack of Constantinople], between

both their highest representatives in Havana on Cuba under the auspices and through the agency of  President Raul Castro. According to some historians, the approach is part of the conversion process of the Russian people, which began under the pontificate of John Paul II., and is part of the message that was revealed by the Virgin of Fatima when she appeared in the beginning of the 20th century to three shepherd children."
What did the German spokesman say at the general audience on behalf of Pope Francis?
"Dear friends, in the coming days I will visit Mexico. I ask you to accompany my Apostolic Journey and the meeting with Patriarch Kirill in Cuba with your prayers. Thank you so much! I wish you a good start of Lent. "
Voice of America reported that Havana was chosen as a meeting place, because, among other things Cuban President Raul Castro mediated the meeting.[How heartwarming.]

The US Government station sees connection between meetings in Cuba and apparition of Fatima

In addition, the official foreign transmitter of the US government provided a link between the meetings and the Message of Fatima on the conversion of the Russian people. At the time when Mary appeared to the shepherd children in Fatima,  Russia was in the midst of the revolution. With the February Revolution, the [legitimate] czarist regime had been overthrown. With the October Revolution, shortly after the apparition, the Bolsheviks violently seized domination and established the totalitarian Soviet Union, which officially existed until 1991. Our Lady had requested the consecration of Russia  to her Immaculate Heart at Fatima, then Russia will be converted, otherwise it would "spread her errors throughout the world, which will give rise to wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, various nations will be annihilated, but at the end my Immaculate Heart will triumph."  "The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me which will be converted, and in the world is a time of peace to be given."  From  the so-called Second Secret of Fatima.
It is astonishing that the official foreign transmitter of the US government establishes a link between the meeting of Pope Francis and Patriarch Kirill and the Fatima message of 1917.  It is a relationship which has not been picked up on by any official Catholic media, certainly not the media of the Vatican.

Voice of America was founded in 1940 under the leadership of Nelson Rockefeller as an instrument of propaganda during World War II. Its present name was given to the transmitter in 1942. The Spanish-speaking section of Voice of America is the oldest non-English department that aired programs to counteract Nazi influence on Latin America.

Papal Trips and "Cancelled" Events -- Marian Appearances of 2017: 300 Years of Aparacida, 100 Years of Fatima

Francis in Paraguay: Will the Pope Visit His Homeland in Argentina?

(Rome) From the 12th to the 18th of February Pope Francis will visit Mexico. Currently, there is speculation about further destinations of the Pope. This is due to the publication of the calendar of papal celebrations for the first half of 2016. The publication was carried out by the Pontifical House. Of note is the "canceled" anniversary.

Popal travels serve to the "strengthen brothers." They are also opportunities to bring particular Churches on track and to garner support. The latter was the case in the trip to Africa that most defies the "new mercy" when it comes to marriage and morality.

Armenia - the oldest Christian state

On the flight back from Africa, Francis had expressed the wish last November to visit Armenia. The Angelus on Sunday, 22 May was "canceled" in the calendar. It is therefore believed that the pope would undertake a shorter trip in the period between May 18th and 25th. Armenia was described then as a possible destination in this regard. More "canceled" dates are the general audience of the 22nd of June and the Angelus of the 26th of June. Between the 18th and 29th of June no activities are planned. Therefore, it is speculated there will be an intercontinental trip overseas. Where will the trip go? World Religion News identified Colombia, Venezuela, Argentina, Chile and Uruguay as potential targets. According to past practice, the Pope has never visited more than three states during a pastoral visit. But first things first:

Pastoral Visits 2016: Argentina, Chile, Uruguay?

On December 27th, Infobae reported that the newly elected Argentine President Mauricio Macri will be first received on coming January 22nd in audience by the Pope. It can be assumed that Macri will invite the Catholic Church leader on this occasion, after nearly three years in office, to also visit his homeland. It is an open secret that Francis didn't support Macri, but his leftist challenger during the election campaign of 2015. The first encounter between the two is therefore awaited with excitement in Argentina.

In an interview with the broadcasting network RCN the President of the Colombian Bishops' Conference, Archbishop Luis Augusto Casto, said that Pope Francis had failed to grant an audience for 23 January. He added: "It is certain that he will come [to Colombia] and we will take this opportunity to agree on the appointment."

Yesterday La Tercera of Chile reported that of the Chilean Bishops' Conference requested an audience which will be granted shortly and scheduled for today. The President of the Bishops' Conference, Cardinal Ricardo Ezzati, and his deputy, Archbishop Alejandro Goic have hurried on to Rome. The topics to be discussed are numerous. Among other things considered, according to La Tercera, is a visit of the Pope to Chile.

The main issue is the case of the now 85 year old priest, Fernando Karadima. In 2010 cases of sexual abuse of minors had become known. In 2011 Karadima was suspended by the Church for life. He may no longer exercise his priesthood, and must lead a life of silence and penance. A victim consortium is now demanding through US Attorneys around half a billion dollars for pain and suffering. There is nothing to gain from Karadima, yet it is hoped to earn a fortune in the Catholic Church. The claim is justified by "negligence".

The case of Karadima is being used by the ruling left-wing coalition in Chile under President Michelle Bachelet to legalize the killing of unborn children. The resistance of the Catholic Church is the biggest obstacle against the legalization of abortion.

A visit in 2016 in Peru with Cardinal Cipriani Thorne, the only representative of Opus Dei with cardinal rank and one of the highest representatives of the rapidly shrinking group of Opus Dei bishops under Francis, was excluded last year by Msgr. Karcher, the Argentine master of ceremonies of the Pope.

Marian shrines 2017: 300 Aparecida - 100 Years of Fatima

There a trip to Argentina, Chile and Uruguay could take place  in 2016. While 2017 could be followed by a visit to Colombia, Venezuela and Brazil. 2017 marks the 300th anniversary of the Marian apparition in the Brazilian State of Aparecida in Sao Paulo. Pope Francis has visited the Marian shrine already on July 24, 2013 when he came for to Brazil for World Youth Day. Back then he finished an impromptu speech at the Basilica de Nossa Senhora Aparecida with the words: "And goodbye till 2017 when I will come back ..."

In April and again in September 2015, Pope Francis expressed his desire to want to come in 2017 for the 100th anniversary celebration of the apparitions of Mary to Fatima.

As long as official confirmations is outstanding, all things are only speculation at this moment.

Papal Appointee Enzo Bianchi Calls Fatima a "Swindle"

(Rome) For one of the darlings of  Church light, Fatima is only a "swindle". Enzo Bianchi, the "monk" and "Prior" of "monastic, interconfessional monastery" Bose, who is a layman in fact, holds the Angelic and Marian apparitions in 1917 in Fatima for a "swindle" because, so says Bianchi, a God , "who talks about the persecuted Christians, but forgets the six million Jews annihilated in Germany is not a credible God".  Bianchi's opinions thus  twists and turns, and the bottom line of the self-proclaimed Prior is to consistently follow the Mainstream.

Bianchi, the Papal Consultor

Enzo Bianchi kept at a distance  by Benedict XVI. but under Pope Francis,  Bianchi is feeling an updraft for promoting a "horizontal, anthropocentric Christianity" (Msgr. Antonio Livi). The "false prophet" (Msgr. Antonio Livi)  was recently the subject of an editorial in an edition of Credere, the official weekly newspaper for the Jubilee of Mercy, along with photo on the front page.
Pope Francis appointed Bianchi in July 2014 as Consultor of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity. Bianchi is the "prophet" of a "demagogic search for peace, according to an illusory, universal amity and a secular solidarity," said Msgr. Livi of the friend of Cardinal Carlo Maria Martini, who was one of Bianchi's patrons.
Bianchi calls for  overcoming of the papacy and its reduction to a symbolic and representative primacy. This does not prevent him from scattering roses before the reigning Pope  and celebrating him as a "new Psalmist" and "new Bernard of Clairvaux."
Bianchi, however, thinks that the Mother of God is  "not a suitable model for the promotion of women in the Church". According to Bianchi, Christ "said nothing about homosexuality, and thus the Church should remain silent on it." The family was only "a  form that society gives it," which is why it can be changed at any time by the society.

"A God Who Spoke About Christianity in 1917, But Not about Persecution of the Jews is Not Credible"

Marian apparition in Fatima on 13 August 1917
The Bian
chi-utterances, wrote the well-known Catholic journalist Vittorio Messori: "For the Prior of Bose the phenomena of 1917 is a swindle because a God who speaks about persecuted Christians, but forgets the six million annihilated Jews in Germany is  no credible God. However Bianchi should remember that Communism (Lenin seizes power in 1917) has at least 100 million deaths on its conscience, and there would not have  been Hitler, if there had not previously been Lenin."
Vittorio Messori wrote a 1985 interview book with the then CDF Prefect Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger: "On the Situation of the Faith."  It's a book that is considered an essential turning point in the perception of the post-conciliar period, because it articulated a diffuse discomfort and lent a voice to it.
Messori has now presented a new edition of a book first published in 2005, "I potesi su Maria" (Hypotheses on Mary). He is to expand it 13 chapters and 150 pages, wherein Messori shall point to Bianchi's criticism of Fatima, to which refers to other critics, including the Dominican Jean Cardonnel.

Criticism of the Dominican Jean Cardonnel on Fatima

In  the year 2000 just as Pope John Paul II published the Third Secret of Fatima, or -. According to some - at least one part of it, the left-leaning daily Le Monde released an article in France by Father Cardonnel, who was at this time of his life, the head of  clerical dissidents and political opposition. Cardonnels idols were  Mao, Che Guevara, Ho Chi Minh and even the destroyer of the Cambodian people, Pol Pot, had place at the summit for the French Dominican.
Though he was a nuisance to his brothers with his eternal 'no' to everything that was sacred to the rest, he was allowed to live in the monastery of Montpellier. Cardonnel, who cared about no dogma and no Church law, forbade under outbursts of anger for anyone call him "Father". The prior of the monastery eventually took advantage of a trip the already 90 year old Cardonnel was on, and had packed his things neatly and quartered him in the nursing home. Cardonnel cried "scandal", portrayed himself as a victim and finding he had squandered time on a frivolous case appealing to the Canon Law, then called on the French government to help. He accused the Prior of trespassing. After a long negotiation, the court agreed with his case and sentenced the Prior. The court asserted an absolute precedent into legal history, a monastic cell was a private room. A provocative and dangerous decision, because it restricted and limited the ecclesiastical of authority over their own areas.

Cardonnel: "The Supposed 'Secret' of Fatima is a Fake"

The deadly power of the Red Star
This Cardonnel wrote in 2000 in Le Monde: "This alleged 'secret' is a fake. It is as fake as the Donation of Constantine, which was designed to justify a diabolical absurdity: a Christian empire. A great Italian theologian - one should not forget his name: Enzo Bianchi, the founder of a new monastic community - has the superstition and seen  immediately immediately through  what the Vatican  is doing with Fatima. In the daily La Repubblica, Brother Bianchi put his finger inexorably into the wound. He wrote: 'A God who thinks in 1917 that there will be a persecution of Christians, but does not speak of the Holocaust and the six million Jews annihilated, is not a credible God '. Yes, you have disclosed this wound: what more  glaring evidence does one need not recognize that the so-called Third Secret of Fatima is a fake and can not come from God? It's a fake, which discredited the Eternal. A credible God, I repeat Bianchi, the God of  Catholic racism who cares only for his family, for his Catholic race, while the kin of Jesus may fall prey to oblivion. "

According to Bianchi, only God who would have predicted and condemned the Shoa is  "Credible"

As far as the Dominican Cardonnel, who died in 2009.   Bianchi never disagreed Cardonnel but rather confirmed him. Messori writes: "In the meantime, there also circulated among certain Christians the conviction that the persecution of Jews by the Nazis during the twelve years 1933 to 1945 does not know any comparison and no comparison was possible. It would involve the absolute evil of the greatest crime of the entire history to the most radical example of human malignancy. It is no coincidence that the guilt of the Nazis as inexpiable why even today at ninety years old, if not even to hunt and condemn centenarians, because they are made responsible for it in any way, that which is referred to with the religious term, 'Holocaust', in any case, for the Holocaust. For this crime, and only for this, no statute  limitations is provided. Following Cardonnel and Bianchi, I repeat, even God must - if he wants to speak to us through Mary -  recognize the Shoah  and especially curse it, otherwise he is not a credible God.'  He is not a true God when he explicitly blames Auschwitz," said Messori. A revelation, message, vision or appearance in the required connection with the Shoah or Auschwitz , has been neither been here nor elsewhere mentioned in connection with  Fatima.

Without Communism, No Nazism without Lenin in 1917 no Hitler in 1933

It should be unnecessary, but for safety's sake, he'll do it yet, and emphasize that it is not about going to trivialize the crimes of National Socialism in any way: "The swastika was a tragic perversion of the Christian cross. One can therefore only connect the condemnation. It is nevertheless paradoxical to reject Fatima on these grounds, because the Mother of God in 1917 had not predicted the German camps and condemned it in the name of the Son and of the whole Trinity. 1917 was the year in which Lenin came to power and the Communist monstrosity was allowed free rein, which devoured at least 100 million people and in implementing the most brutal and bloodiest repression of religion throughout history into action. A repression that took place in the name of the atheist state, because as such the Soviet Union and its satellites had been declared in their Constitutions.
And as demonstrated by the studies of the German historian Ernst Nolte, that Nazism arose essentially as a direct response to Marxism-Leninism Without Lenin in 1917, there would have been no Hitler in 1933 without the October Revolution of St. Petersburg, the ideology of the Austrian painter would have remained limited to a small fanatical   group in the back room of Munich's restaurants. In as much as Our Lady warned of Communism at Fatima, she also warned of the other deadly ideologies, which go back directly or indirectly to Communism or stand in an interaction with this."

Bianchi's Grotesque from the "God of the Catholic Racism"

Bianchi and Cardonnel are "Grotesque" when they denounce Fatima as an expression of "a God of Catholic racism". "What kind of gossip is this?" asks Messori. Which apart from the fact that the vast majority of the victims of Lenin through Stalin to Gorbachev (who in his youth was also a persecutor) were not Catholics, but Orthodox, forget that the  all religions were present.  The papists were massacred like the priests, rabbis just as  imams or Buddhist masters. The same thing happened wherever communism came to power. And that happened exactly in that fateful year of 1917, when the Blessed Mother warned against this perverse ideology, precisely because then - just as now - presented itself in a noble guise with evangelical sounding words of justice, liberation, equality and fraternity. Words that were understood by the Communist, however, were proven without exception as demons, including the German regime, which even introduced itself by the name of socialism. "

The Austrian Example and the Atonement Crusade

Father Petrus Pavlicek
What is valid for Fatima  is what applies to all ecclesiastically recognized private revelations. One need not believe in them. They can therefore also be criticized."But this should be done in more informed and in more subtle ways," than as  it is done by Bianchi.
"And when speaking of Fatima and Communism, then Bianchi would do well to remember also Austria in the period between 1945 and 1955.   Because throughout the war,  the Soviet Union had shifted their influence far to the west and brought huge parts of Europe under its control, with permission first of Hitler, then with the permission of the western powers. At the end,,  the Red Army had occupied Berlin and Vienna. The Soviet Foreign Minister Molotov, who had signed the Hitler-Stalin Pact in the summer of 1939, allowed Hitler the war against Poland, explained and repeated that the Soviet Union would not give up territory they occupied. It was therefore expected that in Austria the Communists would use military force to stay in power just as they had done  in Prague and Budapest, would usurp power by military force. Even in the western chancelleries this seemed to be assumed. No one wanted to start a new war on the other hand. But a Franciscan had not given up: Father Petrus Pavlicek. He first heard of Fatima in captivity. For his safe return from the war he undertook a pilgrimage of thanksgiving in 1946 and heard within  the voice that told him, 'Do what I tell you, and there will be peace.'" Pavlicek saw it as a connection with the apparitions of Fatima and founded the Expiatory Rosary Crusade for peace in the world and for the freedom of Austria.
Hundreds of thousands of Austrians joined him and prayed day and night for these intentions. Years went by, but the petitioners did not abate in their zeal. In 1955,  suddenly Austrian Chancellor was summoned by the Kremlin, where he was informed of the withdrawal of the Red Army from Austria. The western chancelleries were surprised by the decision which was so unexpected and above all was unprecedented and would not be repeated afterwards until the collapse of the Soviet bloc in 1989 in any other country. The signing of the State Treaty on 15 May 1955 brought the re-establishment of an independent and sovereign Austria. Politicians, diplomats and military around the world marveled. Those who had led the Expiatory Rosary Crusade praying for years, however, were not amazed. The date on which the Austrian Chancellor announced the withdrawal of the Red Army, was the 13th of May the anniversary of the first apparition of Fatima. The withdrawal of Soviet troops,  which most reluctantly granted such a beautiful and strategically important country, was completed in October of the same year, that same month which Catholic tradition dedicates to the Holy Rosary, since the Battle of Lepanto. Stop the Persecution of Christians: Statue of Our Lady of Fatima Comes to Syria

(Fatima / Damascus) with the aim to overcome the fanaticism, the statue of the Blessed Lady of Fatima will be brought to Syria, where a merciless struggle for power and the brutal persecution of Christians rages. The number of Christians in the Middle Eastern country has declined since the outbreak of the fighting in 2011 by 30 percent.
The statue of the virgin and the Mary the Mother of God were located in the famous Portuguese pilgrimage site, where in 1917 she appeared to three shepherd children. This coming September 7 it will be brought into Syria with the aim to hal the suffering by Christians in the  and stop the "fanaticism and intolerance."
"This is necessary because of the great indifference of the international institutions" toward the suffering of the Eastern Christians. With these words, Bishop Antonio Marto of Leiria-Fatima founded the initiative.

Response to call of the Bishops of the Middle East

"We are responding to a call of the bishops of the Middle East, who have witnessed the destruction of the Christian communities," said Bishop Marto and recalled  Pope Francis' plea about the persecution of Christians in Syria and Iraq.
According to the Catholic Church in Syria the cruel war has decreased  the number of Christians in the country by 30 percent since the war began in 2011. The Christians are persecuted, expelled and killed by the Islamic state (IS) and other jihadists.
"Intolerance and fanaticism" of the jihadists is especially directed at the persecuted Christians, said the bishop, referring to the rise of the Islamic State (IS).
Bishop Marto addressed tens of thousands of Catholics in his sermon who gathered for one of the three traditional pilgrimages to Fatima, to give special attention to the persecuted Christians and pray for the end to the persecution.

Misgivings With the Current Causes of Saints -- and Their Absence

Or: Why Isn't Sister Lucia Beatified?

On October 10, 2014  the first part of the three-part essay by theologian and  writer  Wolfram Schrems "The  Unease with Current Causes of Saints - and Their Absence" was published. Due to recent cause for beatification of Pope Paul VI. (1963-1978)   the second part now follows.  [Last week]
.
by Wolfram Schrems *

The Circumstances of the Time During the Pontificate of Pope John XXIII : Confusion Enters  The Church at Top

The year late,  a Catholic Italian writer Eugenio Corti, unfortunately practically unknown in the German speaking world,  stated in his thousand-page masterpiece of the Red Horse (1983) the development of Italy from the interwar period to about the time of the Council. As an incorruptible observer and unwavering Catholic, he wrote the memorable words, after the death of Pope Pius XII., about the discrete beginning and mood soon increasing to open confusion in the Church:
"Perhaps the thing that should concern us most," said Apollonio, "the confusion that seems to infiltrate everywhere. Everyone is now applauding  the holy Pope John, and with good reason; but the unusual, even illogical thing is that he is praised by those people who shouldn't actually do it, the Communists   first of all."
"For them, there is only one thing that is really important, namely that the pope should lower his guard to any and all people in his love, especially to themselves."
"That's right. But, of course, it s in its openness implicitly included in calling for conversion to the Catholic Church."
"Yes, no doubt. But in the meantime, he makes drops his vigilance and that's all what they see as important. "(...)
Why worry excessively? At the time, the Catholic world benefited so obviously even from the enlightening effects of Pius XII's leadership. The Church's doctrine was still unambiguous and clear, and their truths so deeply rooted in the hearts of believers, that the idea of an approaching crisis seemed really out of place.
And yet ...
(Eugenio Corti, Il Cavallo Rosso , Milan in 1983, The Red Horse , Ignatius Press, San Francisco, 3rd printing, 2002, 930f.)
We know what this ominous "and yet ..." should not imply anything - not least (in the context of the novel) the increase of one million votes for the Communist Party of Italy, after Pope John had received Khrushchev's daughter and son in law in the Vatican.
The four years of the pontificate of John XXIII. have seen objectively so much destroyed that his canonization must be confusing for a believer who applies the criterion of the good and bad fruits.
Cardinal Giuseppe Siri of Genoa, a great churchman and important theologian ( Gethsemani, 1980, the German translation in 1982, unfortunately, is very difficult to grasp) is often quoted as saying, the Church would need fifty years to recover from the wrong turns of this man (here after citing a typical uncritical Celebratory Article  for John XXIII.).
That Cardinal Siri would have been right, unfortunately could not be claimed fifty-one years after the death of Pope Roncalli.

The Next Scheduled Beatification Paul VI. - Of All Things!

If not a miracle, when this article appears, Pope Paul VI. will have been beatified.
How  one of the closest aides of his predecessor and eventually his successor came to be beatified, remains a mystery. The following is probably closest to true:
Obviously, this requires the Vatican a legitimation for the so-called "liturgical reform" of Pope Paul VI (1969 Missal, whose first edition had to be pulped but because of an open heresy).
This "reform" has indeed, for all have eyes to see, now proven to be a disaster. But it is one of the main projects of the conspiracy within the Church. Without such a conspiracy to assume the fanatical insistence on the failed reform and the relentless fight against the old Mass would be completely absurd.
The late  Italian priest Don Luigi Villa whose writings are easily found on the Internet ( Chiesa Viva , in English "Who is Don Luigi Villa": and German  ? "Who is Don Luigi Villa ; compare to Italian Magazine 463/2013 ), played, as can be read there, an important role in the delay of the first start-up for the beatification of Paul VI.
As far as I know the presentation of the facts by Don Villa, have no known  conclusive refutation. The author who is by no means one with an a priori negative attitude, Reinhard Raffalt,  has written Where is the Vatican Going? , Pieper, Munich 1973, collecting many observations of the policy of Pope Paul gave  evidence for the utmost confusion and concern.

Blessed Because of Humanae Vitae ?

Paul VI. with Sr. Lucia
Well-meaning, but not equipped with the necessary discernment, Catholics bring up the beatification of Pope Montini in a causal relationship with Humanae vitae .
This reasoning is, however, completely inconclusive. Because if it really is only Humanae vitae he has going, then soup is really too thin. This encyclical repeated essentially the traditional teaching, namely Casti connubii by Pope Pius XI. from 1930 ("But there is no reason, however  serious reason, which may become conformable to nature and something internally good, But since the conjugal act is of its nature something determined by the begetting of new life, so the acts those rob it intentionally of its completion, its natural force, act contrary to nature and do something disgraceful and inwardly immoral." II, 3, a), and, incidentally, that of the Council (" Yet in the excellence of this institution is not everywhere reflected with equal brilliance, since polygamy, the plague of divorce, so-called free love and other disfigurements have an obscuring effect.  In addition, married love is too often profaned by excessive self-love, the worship of pleasure and illicit practices against human generation. Gaudium et Spes 47, highlighting WS).
Thus, the moral theologian Eberhard Schockenhoff, who, for his justification of contraception recently on  appealed to "the Council"  without justification - like all others who do so, are inflated that you have to wonder if they are not aware how stupid it is.
But precisely: Should a pope be beatified in all seriousness just because he represented the Church's teaching in a point? You can see here the mosquito, and  overlook at the same time the elephant, namely the whole confusing quality of many papal pronouncements? Is  the disastrous ambiguity of the conciliar texts appreciated here? For the Pope is of course most responsible for himself! So it seems. It overlooks especially that Pope Paul has  not adequately appreciated the message of Fatima.

Pontificate a Complete Mishap - Where is the Salvation?

Pope Montini has even made evident towards the end of his life, that he was more and more dissatisfied with himself. The chilling footage speaks an eloquent language: A person who is not at peace with himself.
The whole pontificate will have to be described as an accident.
Pope Paul VI. was too much one of the typical optimistic modernists, the reality of evil was blatantly underrated and he believed they could negotiate everything in "dialogue".
In the course of this "dialogue", which incidentally was denied to concerned Catholics, the Pope has sacrificed the martyr Church of the East in some respects. The utopian humanistic ideals (according to the "integral humanism" of Jacques Maritain) had hidden the intrinsically negative nature of communism and other heresies, and brought the Pope to meet people with confidence, who were the sworn enemies of the Church.
Among the victims - depending on the detail to be considered background research -  of this treacherous policy, therefore, were the martyrs of the Soviet bloc, whose very existence  was somehow unpleasant for the Vatican Ostpolitik.
We must, for the sake of fairness, mention experiences of Pius XII. himself - abandoned by the political powers and in caring for the Catholics in Germany - who could not afford a direct confrontation with the Nazi power. The intention of saving through negotiations, who could be saved, may be partially stood in the background of the later Ostpolitik.
But that does not justify the unacceptably friendly meeting of Pope Paul VI. with communist dictators and revolutionaries, whose hands were soaked with  blood. It also does not justify  the rudeness of Pope toward Christian statesmen who had thrown back the communist threat in a heroic manner, among whom are General Francisco Franco and President Antonio Oliveira de Salazar - while leaving off all mention of communism in critical votes of the Council,  even to the point of intrigue.  Because one consequence  this papal policy was a massive infiltration of Marxism into the Church and in the institutions of the West.
The Cardinals Josyf Slipyj, Major Archbishop of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church and Cardinal József Mindszenty, Archbishop of Esztergom and Hungarian Primate, were evidently enough not "dialogue partners" of Pope Paul and were transported shabbily into their retirements, which severely limited their  scope of action.
Russia had so obviously spread her errors into the internal space of the Church. To deny that would be pointless.
To my mind, such a policy contradicts the beatification. All the Vatican's Ostpolitik and its protagonists still await unreserved treatment. Without the "purification of memory" (John Paul II.), the papacy of the 20th century, will always be carried away by this entanglement. The pious whitewash of a beatification can not erase the facts. This will ferment underground further and create confusion.

A Trustworthy Witness Confirmed: The Inspiration of the Council and its Popes did not come from the Faith of the Church, but from the Outside

Töhötom Nagy 1935
Töhötom Nagy, 1935
One more should be added for some perhaps surprising illustration of the above ideas.
The Hungarian ex-Jesuit Töhötöm Nagy, who gave up the faith has been reduced to the lay state and was inducted into Freemasonry in Buenos Aires, writes in his highly interesting autobiography Jesuits and Freemasons , among other things:
"I would like to point with all due respect to the Second Vatican Council, in which we find delegates of various denominations. and that this causes  to "the Purity of the Catholic religion' not the slightest damage. Pope Benedict [XIV.] would have been hard pressed to issue his bull against the Masons if he had read through the miracle of John XXIII's Encyclical, Pacem in Terris; yes if he had seen only one of the documents of the Second Vatican Council, which 'calls all Catholics to better communicate with the Protestants, and to seek all viable means to remove the obstacles that block the path to Christian unity.'  These documents emphasize that religious freedom is a God-given right and that all people must be given the freedom to practice religion according to their conscience. There is a world of difference between the world of Benedict XIV., and Paul VI. The first condemned the Masonic precisely because of that to which the second all the world's Catholics encouraged "(483).
And:
"Most [brothers in the lodge] expressed their hope in Paul VI. , and all recognized in John XXIII. as the man with the purest intentions of the recent past "(500).

Conclusion

If Ex-Father Nagy is no impostor and deceiver, but here is telling the truth, we have another reason to feel great discomfort with the raising of the collection of council popes to the altars. This is all happening too fast and too superficially. The vox populi has apparently not been consulted.

And the message of Fatima, which the Church has regularly recognized and in which the people have rooted theselves since the mid-60ies has been ignored to a great extent.
In the next part  some possible reasons for the utter silence on the  beatification of Sr. Lucia will be discussed.

Reformation Anniversary: Dialogue Paper Between the Vatican and Evangelicals?

(Washington / Rome) According to reports from U.S. media, the Vatican intends to Reformation 2017 with the Evangelicals to publish a common "dialogue paper". The aim of the declaration is  a "shared commitment to mission" as the Boston Globe reported.
In 2017 the Protestant world will celebrate  500 years of "Reformation" with Martin Luther's theses at Wittenberg. In 2017   the Catholic Charismatics will also celebrate 50 years of "Revival" by the "Spirit Baptism".
According to the Pope's biographers and journalist Austen Ivereigh in the Boston Globe,  it is a joint document on the "Reformation" which will include three priorities: "the Nicean-Constantinople Creed, which Catholics and evangelicals share; the core of the Catholic-Lutheran declaration of 1999 making clear there is no disagreement over justification by faith; as well as a final section asserting that Catholics and evangelicals are now “united in mission because we are declaring the same Gospel,”  as the KAP reported.

Tony Palmer Handed Pope Francis Text Draft

According Ivereigh the recently deceased Anglo-Irish Bishop, Tony Palmer, passed away on the 24th of June, had issued  in Rome at a meeting of the Pope with Evangelical representatives to draft a joint statement. The title of the document reads: "Declaration of Faith in Unity for Mission."   2017 would be an appropriate occasion for publicly signing  a joint declaration, said Palmer and other Evangelical televangelists,  because of the Reformation anniversary year (1517) and   in the same year, the 50-year anniversary of the emergence of the Charismatic Renewal in the Catholic Church (1967 ).
Since the beginning of Pope Francis sent out a number of benevolent signals towards Evangelicals and Pentecostals. These include several informal meetings at the Vatican, a video message and on 28 July the "private visit" the Pope at an evangelical denomination in Caserta. Here, the Catholic Church leader sent a request for forgiveness to 300 invited from all over the world evangelical representatives.

Relations Between Catholic Church and Evangelicals in Latin America

Observers have put the papal efforts  in the context of the strained relationship between the Catholic Church and the Evangelical Free Churches in Latin America. For several decades Evangelical groups have drawn from the Catholic Church's masses of believers. A movement that is being done in the United States and again is  also associated with the political interests of the United States in its "backyard". Sociologists of religion see in the spread of evangelicalism   among a number of attempts, to export the American Way of Life.

Mission or Cessation of Mission?

Critics accuse the Pope of sacrificing the necessity for salvation of the Catholic Church and indiscriminately recognizing  groups that call themselves Christian or nominally appointed to Christ. Pope Francis was several times to understand that it waives a conversion to the Catholic faith. This raises the question of what a joint statement with the Evangelicals might just mean to the issue of Mission. A shared commitment to evangelization of non-Christians or an official recognition of a mutual  cessation of mission? Along with the one-sided embedding of the "Joint Declaration on the Doctrine of Justification" of 1999, the Catholic-evangelical "dialogue paper" it would  pass over in precedence, the more significant for the Catholic Church and especially more binding declaration Dominus Iesus of the year 2000.
Already in 2013 the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity and the Lutheran World Federation (LWF) have published a dialogue paper for the  "Reformation Jubilee",  whose relevance has remained in an almost imperceptible range. From the Lutheran side there were hesitations for the "Luther Year" in 2017, at a mutual recognition several times of  "Lord's Supper".

500 Reformation, 50 years Charismatic Renewal - And 100 years Fatima?

2017 marks not only the 500th year of the "Reformation" and the 50th anniversary of the emergence of the Charismatic Movement in the Catholic Church, but also for the 100th anniversary of the apparitions of Fatima. It's an anniversary that has so far remained unnoticed in Rome.

Third Secret of Fatima: Document is "Authentic" -- But is it Compete?

(Rome) In the coming days, the investigation of a handwritten document will be published which is attributed to  Sister Lucia dos Santos. The Third Secret of Fatima, which was was made public as a handwritten document by Pope John Paul II and the then Prefect of the Congregation of the Faith, Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger in the Holy Year 2000 is "authentic" and was written by Lucia dos Santos. She was the oldest of the three shepherd children at Fatima, where the Virgin Mary appeared in 1917. The nun died in 2005. Does the document published in 2,000 treat the full Third Secret?
The   handwritten document extant in 2000 was investigated by the paleographer Maria José Azevedo Santos of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Coimbra. In the document, the seer described the scene  with the "bishop dressed in white" who suffers martyrdom along with many Christians on the summit of a mountain. A prophecy that John Paul II was referring to as the 13 May 1981 assassination attempt perpetrated on him in St. Peter's Square. The Pope wrote about the happy deliverance as the intercession of Our Lady of Fatima.

Paleographer Confirmed Authenticity of the Handwritten Document

Maria José Azevedo Santos gave an interview to  the official publication of the Portuguese pilgrimage site Voz da Fatima which will be released for the next issue on the 13th of January. The Catholic press agency of Portugal has made a preliminary report.
"The Church has no doubt that it is an original document. This is an authentic document, which was written personally by Sister Lucia," said Maria José Azevedo Santos. The scientist had the opportunity to examine the document last September in the archives of the Congregation. The absence of the signature of Sister Lucia takes away nothing of the authenticity of the document. A comparison of this document with the Third Secret with other handwritten texts of the seer and nun leaves no doubt. The scientific conclusion can therefore only be that this document was actually written by Sister Lucia, says the Paleographer.

Critics Don't Doubt the Authenticity, But Completeness

Around the release of the Third Secret in 2000, there have been numerous polemics. However, most critics do not doubt the authenticity of the document, but are of the opinion that it was not published in full, but only a part.
According to the main strand of criticisms, which, however, was also repeatedly rejected by the Vatican, there still  must an additional paper in addition to the published sheet describing the appearance in the words of the Mother of God, with whom she explained the importance of vision to the shepherd children. This also explains the absence of the signature of Sister Lucia, because it's probably located on another sheet at the end of the transcript.

Cardinal Ratzinger: There is No "Official Interpretation" of the Third Secret

As Cardinal Ratzinger explained the contents of the Third Secret in June 2000 at the request of John Paul II to the press, he put value on the finding that there is no "official interpretation" given by the Church suggesting it was Pope Wojtyla himself  as the "bishop dressed in white" who was killed. John Paul II sent the then Secretary of the Congregation of the Faith, Archbishop Tarcisio Bertone Curia to Sister Lucia. At that time, the  93 year old  nun had confirmed this interpretation of the Pope's.

Pope Benedict XVI:. Third secret is not yet fulfilled?

A little later, Bishop Kurt Krenn of St. Pölten said that Cardinal Ratzinger, did not share the interpretation of John Paul II relating the vision to himself. In fact,  Pope Benedict XVI then expressed himself very cautiously  on his 2010  Portugal trip, and left open the possibility that the prophecy has not been fulfilled, or at least not completely satisfied.

Fatima and the Third Secret -- Why is Pope Francis Having the 97 Year Old Secretary of John XXIII Come to Rome?

(Rome) Is there a Marian reading of recent church events? Antonio Socci focuses on this question in the news daily Libero (April 14). Pope Benedict XVI., who sees his powers dwindling  and does not feel strong enough to face the challenges of the time announced his resignation on the 11th February, taking place on the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes,.
His successor, Francis is elected on March 13 , a date that commemorates the apparitions of Fatima. In the small Portuguese city, the Mother of God appeared between the 13th of May and 13th of October on the 13th of each month before three children. The 13th Day of each month is Fatima Day in  Catholic piety  and thus is a Marian date.
Sister Lucia of the Immaculate Heart,  which was the religious name of one of the children, wrote down the Third Secret of Fatima in 1944 after much reluctance. Only when she was stopped from writing expressly by her bishop, she got the call. The minutes were kept by the Bishop of Leiria, since 1957 and they are located in the archives of the Congregation for Doctrine and the Faith in Rome. Each newly elected Pope is shown the content of the the Third Secret by the time of his inauguration.  Only in 2000, did Pope John Paul II  order the publication of the secret to counteract speculation about a near end of the world or a third world war.
Much has been puzzled about the Third Secret of Fatima, about "a Bishop dressed in White, which was written of by the Sister Lucia dos Santos, one of the three seers: "We had the idea that it was the Holy Father.”
Pope John Paul II referred to the prophecy when he and the then Secretary of the Congregation, now the Cardinal Secretary of State, Tarcisio Bertone, made to reveal the third secret in the Holy Year in 2000 by the then Prefect of the Congregation of the Faith, Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger. In the belief, which was granted to the shepherd children by Our Lady, they saw that the white-robed Bishop is killed by soldiers. In 1981, a few months after the assassination attempt on John Paul II by the Soviet hired assassin Ali Agca, Cardinal Ratzinger, the previous Prefect of the CDF, Franjo Cardinal Seper, had made a connection between the vision and  the Pope surviving the severe injuries inflicted by the attack . The attack was on May 13th was committed on the day of Fatima. The Pope ascribed his salvation to the Mother of God.
Early on, however, there were doubts whether the publication was complete. Due to past testimony of several top church officials, several lines seem to have continued to be kept secret. However, doubts were also placed on the interpretation. Among others, it was the Austrian Bishop Kurt Krenn of Sankt Pölten, who publicly reported a little later about such doubts of Joseph Ratzinger. The Prefect of the CDF had therefore been of the opinion that the prophecy was not referring to the assassination, but had a far greater dimension. One dimension that concerns the whole Church, as well as the popular intuition showing in the murder of the other bishops, priests and lay Catholics. So the Third Secret concerns future events that have yet to occur.
Recently, the question is raised whether the words referred to the resigned Pope or to his successor, who likes to call himself "Bishop of Rome".
Francis saw how Pope John Paul II had a special devotion to Mary. The Mother of God is Francis' first "escape" from the Vatican on the day after his election, when he went to venerate the icon in the Papal Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, and also prayed at the grave of Pope St. Pius V.  In his first Angelus in St. Peter's Square, he mentioned Fatima.  About two weeks ago  Pope Francis surprisingly called  Archbishop Loris Capovilla.  The now over 97 year old, retired Curial Archbishop was the first secretary of Pope John XXIII from 1958 to 1963.  On Easter Monday, the 1st of April, the phone rang. The Pope was personally at the other end and told Capovilla  he wanted to meet with him. The Monsignor promises soon to come to Rome, where he has not been any more since the beatification of John XXIII on 3 September 2000.
The reason it is said that the old prelate was to be placated, that  the Pope wanted to say thank you for a brochure that Monsignor Capovilla had written for the Year of Faith and Cardinal Comastri had given to the Pope. The Pope’s call merely to say thanks for a brochure was not convincing in the least for a set of Vatikanisten.
Capovilla was the last topic of conversation, because he talked about a memorandum that Benedict XVI. had written for his successor. The Vatican denied the allusion. At the meeting of the two Popes in Castel Gandolfo, in any case, a box full of documents and a large, sealed envelope was seen.
"Why has the Pope contrived to want to see  the former secretary of Pope Roncalli in the first month of his pontificate and at he exclusion of the public? What was so urgent?” asked Antonio Socci.
On the 7th of April the Patriarch of Lisbon, Cardinal Jose Policarpo of the Portuguese Episcopal Conference, of which he is chairman, announced that Pope Francis had asked the patriarch to consecrate his pontificate of Our Lady of Fatima. The consecration will be on 13 May, taking place on the 96th Anniversary of the apparition.
Is Pope Francis talking with Archbishop Capovilla about the Third Secret of Fatima? He, therefore, is making him come to Rome, as the timing of the announcement made shortly after he consecrated  as his pontificate to Our Lady of Fatima suggests? What does the Pope think or know related to the prophecy and the future of the Church? What must we expect?
