Cause for Bishop Sheen Suspended

EDITOR'S NOTE: The following is a news release from the Diocese of Peoria. It was distributed to the media on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2014.

-----
It is with immense sadness that the Most Reverend Daniel R. Jenky, CSC, Bishop of Peoria and President of the Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen Foundation, announced today that the Cause for Sheen’s beatification and canonization has for the foreseeable future been suspended. The process to verify a possible miracle attributed to Sheen had been going extremely well, and only awaited a vote of the Cardinals and the approval of the Holy Father. There was every indication that a possible date for beatification in Peoria would have been scheduled for as early as the coming year. The Holy See expected that the remains of Venerable Sheen would be moved to Peoria where official inspection would be made and first class relics be taken. Subsequently, the Archdiocese of New York denied Bishop Jenky’s request to move the body to Peoria. After further discussion with Rome, it was decided that the Sheen Cause would now have to be relegated to the Congregation’s historic archive.
Edit: Too anti-Communist, obviously?

80th Anniversary of the Martyrdom of Dolfuss, Chancellor of Austria

by Wolfram Schrems
"Dollfuss was not a dominant figure in a Europe that was overshadowed by Hitler and Mussolini and Stalin and a sleeping Baldwin. But among all these men he brought the noblest character to his high office, he went against the most overwhelming superiority with the greatest courage and yet he met the most tragic end. He also encountered the worst slander. (...) This distortion has therefore taken place, because what is considered to be a  confused time of history, actually is a one-sided historiography. (...) But almost all his former enemies spread throughout  the West weighed their arguments against him in a tirade, which is particular to the intellectuals of the left, and with the frantic energy that is understandable for refugees." 1
On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the murder of the hero Chancellor and has given the diverse and permanent soiling of his memory by secular and Church authorities, this has earned him a few words of tribute, and rebuke to those who deserve reproof.

Defilement of Memories

The defilement of memories of one of the most important Austrian statesmen was made drastically apparent in the paint bomb attack on the Dollfuss-relief in the tower chapel of Vienna's Michael Church about four years ago. The Congregation of Salvatorians, which oversee the Church has not made this sacrilege public - for whatever reason. Unfortunately, it has become common for Church desecration simply move on to the agenda. Maybe  you might  encourage a copycat with by mentioning the incident.
But this is a false calculation. Attacks on churches are getting worse.
In the case of the Salvatorians they will also have played into  the symbolic of the madness of the current church scene -  as is very strongly associated with the Viennese social democracy. After all, the Salvatorian Albert P. Gabriel on April 12, 2013, received the  Prof. Dr. Julius Tandler  medal from the hands of Councillor Sonja Wehsely (http://www.donaucitykirche.at/2013/04/ehrung-unseres- pater-albert-gabriel / , with the wife of the City Councillor:  http://www.salvatorianer.at/content/site/home/ueberuns/article/722.html ). (For those readers who are less  familiar with   Austrian contemporary history, for information: Julius Tandler, 1869-1936, was a native of Moravia, a doctor of Jewish origin, who was  as a professor of medicine and social democratic member of the Vienna State Government with sociomedical pioneering achievements, but at the same time was for the sterilization or destruction "life unworthy of life"  and thus favored the "euthanasia" of the Nazi regime. He died as a consultant for hospital reforms in Moscow, one notes [!] in Stalin's time.  So one is not estranged to the ideological nuances in Marxism.  Viennese Councillor Wehsely is a social democratic politician and vehement proponent of abortion and late term abortion.)
Emblematic of the defiling of the memory of Dollfuss are the nefarious additional panels that are displayed at the Christ the King Church in Wien - Fünfhaus  and at the north portal of the Linz Cathedral (the latter in 2006). In the latter case, a willing exponent was found in a left council cathedral minister. Particularly reprehensible is the overpainting ordered on behalf of young socialists  of the  fresco funded by the faithful n the St. Pölten Prandtauerkirche (in 2007).
Finally, the grave of honor in the city of Vienna in Hietzinger cemetery was demoted a few years ago from the stage of a "historic tomb" (or it was said that there had never enacted in any case to a grave of honor).
The permanent rewrite of history as George Orwell in 1984 prophesied, has become a common practice.
What is it about them that they defile the memory of the martyr Chancellor?

The Last Pope-King -- Pope Bergolio’s “New Course” is Not Yet Deciphered

(Rome) "With Francis the papacy came into the shade. The light is all alone for him, the Pope. Not for the institution, but Sfor the person.” With these words, the Vatican expert Sandro Magister begins his recent article in the weekly magazine L'Espresso , the Italian Mirror for Double Saints last Sunday.
"From the Church canons he feels free. He feels himself free from the canonical norms. In just one year he has already suspended six times the ironclad rule that demands a new miracle before a blessed may be proclaimed a saint. John XXIII is the last of the six. Francis wanted at all costs that John Paul II should be canonized not on his own but balanced by another pope with a different profile, less combative, more merciful. "

Francis Wanted to Avoid the  Exclusive Canonization of John Paul II at all Costs

Last Sunday the double canonization was intended by Francis  because he ascended the Chair of Peter too late to slow down the canonization of John Paul II.  "The Congregation for the Causes of Saints, bent its knees his will and pretended it had asked Francis for an exception that was benevolnetly  granted immediately."
A simulated perversion of facts, which was accepted, thus, because the Pope demanded. "In addition Cardinal Angelo Bagnasco, who still figures as president of the Italian episcopal conference, has asked Francis that it be he, the pope, who delivers the inaugural discourse to the plenary assembly of the bishops to be held in May, something no pontiff has ever done."

Francis Sets Will Through

At the Cardinal's request is what was said in the official press release, it  then came to the prompt readiness of the Holy Father, who announced to have harbored the same intention’. Really. For over a month we knew that Francis had already decided to make the speech.
Since he is pope, which is Italian Episcopal Conference solidifies and falls silent. Francis asked the Italian bishops that they notify him whether they want to continue to have the Pope as nominal president of the Bishops Conference or would like to choose these freely from their ranks, as in the other countries. In reality,  the Pope’s engagement  of the Italian Bishops' Conference is the living contradiction of the decentralization and “democratization” of the Church allegedly pursued by Jorge Mario Bergoglio.

Francis Holds the Italian Episcopal Conference More Firmly Than Previous Popes

Pope Francis has the Italian Bishops Conference more  firmly in his grasp  than all the popes before him. The real authority in the bishops' conference is now its general secretary Bishop Nunzio Galatino Cassano all'Jonio. But the real authority behind this is Pope Francis, who raised Galatino into office and monitors each of his decisions.
The Galatino's first official act after his audience with Pope Francis was the dismissal of the former media officer of the Italian Bishops' Conference , Dino Boffo, who  had been hired by Cardinal Camillo Ruini. Boffo was chief editor of the daily newspaper of the Episcopal Conference "Avvenire" and for three years editor of TV2000, the television station of the bishops with a significantly increasing number of spectators. [Sorry, you’re too successful.?]

Media Work of the Bishops' Conference for Months without Leadership

That was on the 14th of February, so for more than two months. Since then, the entire communication channel of the Episcopal Conference was not controlled without giving word for  a reason for the dismissal of Boffo.
If on instead focuses attention within the Vatican walls, one finds there are still figures with full honors in the saddle that would have been sealed in every  other company long ago.

Advisor to the Pope and the Vatican Bank

These include the members of the Supervisory Board of the Vatican Bank IOR, in other words, the Gang of Four, which brutally sacked the then President of the Vatican Bank, Ettore Gotti Tedeschi  on 24 May 2012.
Not only that Pope Francis followed the advice of the four and ensured the continued existence of the Vatican Bank, although he had repeatedly indicated its dissolution in the previous months. The Pope leaves the Vatican Bank to work as the four want.
The new course of Pope Bergoglio is still not deciphered yet.

Theologians Have Approved Paul VI "Miracle": Dom Luigi Villa's Unanswered Criticism

Vatican Insider is reporting from its confidential sources that a miracle has been confirmed.  Theologians from the Congregation for the Causes of Saints unanimously approved a miracle attributed to the intercession of Giovanni Battista Montini, Pope Paul VI earlier this week. The  “inexplicable” healing has been confirmed by the medical consultation headed by Professor Patrizio Polisca, who will have to be examined by the dicastery’s cardinals and bishops before receiving final approval from Pope Francis. If, as authoritative sources from the Congregation for the Causes of Saints tell Vatican Insider, these latest steps will be concluded quickly, and Montini could be beatified within the next few months.

The Postulator of the Cause, Fr. Antonio Marrazzo, had selected a special case from among many which early medical examinations described as “inexplicable”. On 20 December 2012, shortly before Benedict XVI’s historic resignation, he proclaimed the heroic virtue of Paul VI, concluding the canonical process. For Paul VI to be beatified, all that was needed was for one approved miracle.

The miracle which Marrazzo presented to the Congregation’s consultation involved the healing of an unborn child from  California in the early 90’s.  Doctors had found a serious defect in the fetus and high risk of brain damage which the surgery implied, they advised the mother to abort. The woman  decided to have the child, entrusting the fate of the child to the intercession of Paul VI, the Pope who wrote Encyclical  “Humanae vitae”  in 1968. She did so despite being told that without a shadow of a doubt her child would be born with serious physical and mental handicaps.

But the child was born with no defects. Doctors waited to see whether problems would arise during the child’s adolescence before confirming that the child was completely healed. The Postulator of the Pope Paul VI’s cause said this was an extraordinary and supernatural event which took place through the intercession of the late Pope. It was in line with his Magisterium and the contents of the “Humanae Vitae” encyclical, i.e. the defense of life, “but also the defense of the family, because that document discusses married love, not just unborn life. This healing is apparently in line with the Pope's teaching.”
